Beginning Baby is a line of books designed to get your baby and/or toddler a bright start by learning how to play, learn letters, or be a helper. This interactive board book series uses the same character friends in each book so kids can recognize their friends and want to learn and play as they do.
Your child will help Paisley the octopus water the plants by moving the watering can over the flowers on the page. They can learn to share by passing the purple crayon to Layla the llama while they are drawing. Each page ends with the phrase “Good job! You’re a helper!” This is a phrase you can start using in your own home as you start to encourage your child to be a helper.
The characters are stuffed animal-like and the pages are bright and colorful. Kids will want to be a helper just like the animals on the page and this will soon be a favorite book for parents and kids.

Nicola Slater began her career as an usher but life on the big screen was too heady and too fast. Instead, she chose to study illustration, where she developed a passion for children’s books that far surpassed her love of popcorn.
