Childrens Book Week 22

Children’s Book Week is celebrated twice a year, one week in May and one week in November. Kids everywhere can join in the fun of Children’s Book Week. The How Do You Book? Challenge asks young readers to explore what they read, how they read, and where they read. For more information about Children’s Book Week, click HERE. This week, I’ll be sharing several books in celebration of Children’s Book Week. Click HERE to see previous Children’s Book Week Posts.

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

A Magic Slide-and-Find Book

Using the magic picture finder included in the book, kids will slide the clear square with black stripes over the picture to reveal two different items in the picture. Kids might see a stuffed toy or a ball. When they line up the black stripes over the stripes in the photo, the image slowly turns into a different image.

This interactive book is perfect for toddlers to improve hand/eye coordination. The act of sliding the magic picture finder over the images will help toddlers visualize images and connect them to food, items in the house, or animals.

The end of the book includes an answer key for each page to make sure kids find every picture with the magic picture finder. Sometimes the items go together like a juggler and juggling pin and other times it’s more silly like a camel and a hat. Toddlers will have fun watching the image appear on the page like magic.
