Babies and toddlers love to play Peekaboo and will also love playing Peekaboo Who with this lift-the-flap book. Kids will love guessing who hides behind their feathers, floppy ears, or a bushy tail. Along with the fun of playing the game, kids will learn birds have feathers and rabbits have floppy ears. Along with the words on the left page, there is a small icon of something related to that animal like a carrot for the rabbit or an acorn for the fox. This gives parents another learning opportunity.
The text is repetitive and toddlers will love shouting peekaboo as they pull back whatever is covering that particular animal’s face. The colors are vivid and the animals are cute. Obviously, with any lift-the-flap book, kids will have to be careful with the flaps. Some of the coverings are delicate like the skinny arms of the octopus so it may not hold up as well to a toddler’s frequent reading and playing without parental involvement.
Tuck this in an Easter basket for a baby or toddler in your life.
