Christmas Books for Kids

With less than two months to go until Christmas, it’s the perfect time to order new Christmas books for reading during the season. Some fun ideas include creating a bookish Advent stack where you wrap up 24 Christmas books and read one each night leading up to Christmas, having a Christmas book basket under the tree to encourage reading during the season, or purchasing Christmas books for all the kids on your gift list. Some of these are the perfect size for a stocking! Click HERE to see all the Christmas-themed books.

IT’S CHRISTMAS EVERYWHERE

Celebrations from Around the World

It is ten days until Christmas and each page will take you around the world to various trees being decorated for Christmas. Every culture has a different way to decorate. For example, in some places, it’s summer during Christmas so they will decorate quite differently.

With a rhyming story on one page and a more detailed paragraph on the next, younger kids and older ones can learn at the same time. In Ukraine, finding a spider web on your tree means good luck and kids love the Legend of the Christmas Spider story. Since there are 10 days of Christmas decorating traditions from all over the world, a family could focus on one or two a week leading up to Christmas, learning more about that country’s traditions and maybe even creating something that reminds them of that tradition.

The board book opens up to stand like the shape of a tree, so it even doubles as decor. Kids will love learning about other families all over the world and the things they do to celebrate Christmas. Who knows, you may find your own new tradition based on your own family’s heritage.
