Spring weather has finally arrived here in Iowa and I am so anxious for the flowers to begin blooming and the leaves to pop out on the trees. It has felt like a long winter. When I hear the word, meadow, I instantly think of tall prairie grasses, flowers waving in the breeze, and fresh air. That is exactly what you get in this little board book.

In HELLO, MEADOW, children will learn it is important to take care of these beautiful places. In order for them to stay beautiful and safe for the creatures that live there, it is important to stay on the trails around the meadow. We can also take pictures of the flowers instead of picking them. If we see animals in the meadow, it is important to stay back and give them space. Everyone can enjoy the meadows if we all help keep them beautiful.

Meadows are such busy places.
Grasses, creatures, open spaces.
Every grown-up, every child,
can help keep meadows strong and wild.

With an easy rhyme and repetitive text, toddlers will quickly pick up on the words and remember the importance of protecting the meadow the next time you head out for a walk on the trail. All the proceeds from the sale of this book go directly towards supporting Yosemite National Park.
