Farmer Jake gathers up the animals to go to the Summer Children’s Festival on the boardwalk for his petting zoo. Even though all the kids love the animals and the animals love being there, especially Turkey, he longs to be on the beach. With several crazy ideas to escape the petting zoo, Turkey finds himself on the beach only long enough to be found and hauled back to the petting zoo.
With all kinds of play on words and hilarious antics by the farm animals, kids will find this new addition to the Turkey Trouble series to be so much fun! The story is super creative and will make a great read-aloud with all the unique made-up words and sound effects. The illustrations are the same great ones everyone loves from Lee Harper and show all the crazy ideas and disguises Turkey creates to find his way to the beach.
Turkey’s final attempt to get to the beach is a team effort with all the farm animals and it is such a great idea that he may just find a way to spend some real time on the beach.
