My favorite apple is the Honeycrisp apple.
Did you know it was created in Minnesota’s Agricultural Experimental Station?
They are really only available during the fall around here which makes me sad, but also appreciate them even more.  When I do see them, I snag up a bunch.  If you haven’t tried a Honeycrisp apple, they are the perfect combination of everything you want in an apple…crisp, sweet and tart.
I also love the color of the skin, red with shades of yellow.
You may still be able to find Honeycrisp apples in your store, and if you see them, try them out.
You won’t be disappointed.
Thanks to the horticulturalists who created the Honeycrisp apple!
