November is the time to count our many blessings – name them one by one.
Last year I had a blessing for each day of November and kept track of them here. I want to do it again, but I realize I may not get to post everyday, so keeping a list might be more doable for me this year. I want to look at each day and name at least one blessing from that day. Something that happened or affected me on that day and not just in general. It can be so easy to igore those little blessings in our day, but sometimes it is the little blessings that can make the biggest impact.
November 2 – Thankful for my church family
We are so blessed to live in a small community and blessed to have found such a wonderful church family. Our church is working on their own “Roadmap to Renewal” and is trying to find new ways to grow and change with the needs of our members and community. We have formed a Community Crew to do some outreach in our community such as our raking leaves project a couple Saturdays ago. We have so many young families who are eager to grow in their faith and to do God’s work. It is exciting! We are starting up a choir in our parish as well, which has been absent for a long time and I am honored to be able to be a part of that. Tonight we had meetings to plan for our Christmas program. It is wonderful to see so many children in Sunday School, in church, and to know there will be enough children to have a Christmas program. What a great foundation we are building for our family, our church and our community. Love it!
