This road into our town was illuminated by the setting sun as I was driving home one evening and gave me such hope after a difficult few days at the hospital.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am needing to take some time to focus on family. My dad went into the hospital on April 5th and is finally coming home today.

Our crisis is over, but there is a new normal. Dad is home and we are so thankful. He will need a bit more care, but there are definite signs he will get stronger and be able to get back to some of his normal activities soon with therapy.

Even though that crisis is over, I still have a son graduating in less than a month and haven’t started putting together his scrapbooks and binders and memories of his school years. So, I will be focusing my free time on getting everything prepared for this next big event in our family.

After graduation, I’ll be traveling for another family graduation and then on to Florida with our son for his band/vocal trip. I can’t wait to experience this trip with him and with my fellow mom friends.

So, my plan is to be back to blogging on Monday, June 17, 2019. I’ll share a roundup of all the books I’ve been reading lately and then get back into the groove of my regular children’s and adult book reviews. I have an exciting author interview planned for July and many other great books I can’t wait to share with you.

I appreciate your understanding, your supportive messages, and knowing that this hobby means a lot to me, but family will ALWAYS come first.

Sincerely,

Stacie

Glad to hear your dad is doing well. I have been thinking of him and glad to see an update.

Thanks, Kris. Every day gets easier which is a huge blessing. He is even planning to come to Bennett’s graduation this Sunday!
