“Would you rather touch rotten food or smell it?” “Would you rather chew on a cricket or a slug?” These are the kinds of questions asked in this particular WOULD YOU RATHER edition that focuses on all things gross. Kids love imagining and talking about gross things, and I can hear kids exclaming “EW!” or “OH MAN!” as they have to decide their answers to these Would You Rather questions.
This book is great for travel or maybe even a silly ritual before bedtime. I wouldn’t recommend this one be discussed at the dinner table, however, as many of them could spoil your appetite!

WOULD YOU RATHER? ANIMALS EDITION
Answer Wild and Wacky Questions to Win a Roaring Good Game

This particular Would You Rather book is set up as a game format. There are eight rounds with twenty questions in each round. Players will take turns being the “judge” and reading the questions out loud. Then the rest of the players take turns responding with their answer and an explanation. The judge then chooses the best answer from that round. The judge can use creativity, humor, or logic to decide the best answer. The winner then receives one point. At the end of the book, all points are calculated, and the winner of the most rounds is the champion.
Each chapter focuses on Pets, Backyard Bugs, Underwater Creatures, Feathered Friends, Reptiles, Farm Animals, Big Beasts, and Little Critters. Some of the questions are easier to answer, like “Would you rather see a hummingbird in your backyard or a bald eagle?” While others seem to be more difficult to answer, such as, Would you rather have your house infested with termites or cockroaches?”
This book is great for a family road trip and offers lots of opportunities for discussion and conversation to fill the time. It could also be played at a child’s birthday party or when your child is having some friends over. The game aspect makes reading this book fun. Giving everyone a chance to be the judge makes it a game that the whole family can enjoy.
