Fiction
Little Crab travels along the sand and the water to wake up and say hello to all his friends. As it travels, your little one can pull the tab to move the crab along and to open and close its pinchers. As your child pulls the tab, the eyes of Little Crab’s friends open, and you’ll also hear a clack-clack, much like the sound his pinchers would make.
Each page has an onomatopoeia series, such as scritch, scratch, scritch, which your little one will soon be able to repeat with you. At the end, when Little Crab reaches the giant coral, there is a surprise for your child and Little Crab.
Due to the clacking sound, this isn’t a good book for quiet time, but since Little Crab is waking everyone up, it could be part of a wake-up routine with your child. The adorable illustrations and subtle lessons on where various ocean creatures live also offer a learning opportunity.
The board book is very sturdy and will hold up to lots of reading. Get this for your child before your next beach visit.
