The baby animals are hiding from their parents. Your baby can lift the animal-shaped cut-out of the parent to find the baby. Then, lifting the baby animal-shaped cutout reveals something for the baby and their parent to do together.

I love that Elena chose a variety of animals and their babies to feature in this book, such as a panda, a parrot, a snail, an otter, and my favorite, a hedgehog. After reading this to your baby, you’ll soon be hearing them say, “Here I am!” just like the baby panda does. The background of each animal page-spread also includes vegetation similar to what that animal would be living in.

Elena Selena also wrote and illustrated PEEKABOO WHO? another cute lift-the-flap book perfect for reading with your baby. Tuck both of these into your baby’s Easter basket.

Elena Selena is of Lithuanian origin. She arrived in Paris to join the École Estienne (ESAIG) after initial training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius. There she discovered the world of animated books. She also graduated from the National School of Decorative Arts (ENSAD), where she trained to develop creations on a larger scale.
