Matt and Kaylea started CustomEnvy.com four years ago with a mission to provide customers with unique, high-quality, personalized products after Kaylea wanted a phone case to share her wedding photos and her new initials. Even after four years, they have made improvements based on customers’ suggestions but still kept to their mission. What started as a phone case company, has now included several other custom products perfect for personal use or gift-giving.
When I was approached about reviewing a product with this company, I was impressed with their selection of products and details to add to any of their personalized products. I chose to customize a phone case for myself and I am absolutely pleased with the final product.
Even though I worked through a representative, I ordered through the website just like any other customer would. I’m not a very creative person in general and so I wasn’t sure how easy it would be for me to create something that I liked and also would be something I would enjoy looking at every time I used my phone. The website is very user-friendly. Each step of the process is clear with plenty of options to choose from.
Once you choose your phone type (they offer cases for both iPhones and Samsung, you choose the layout. Do you want one photo to cover the whole case or multiple photos? I chose four photos with a custom name logo. When you choose the photos, you can crop them how you’d like, change the tone of the photo, and placement. Then you can choose your background color, for the space in between the photos. You can add various words or phrases as well as custom logos as well. As you can see I chose to use our last name and the word, “Family” on my phone case. Also, there are numerous font colors to choose from. You could spend hours decorating your case and making it just right. But, I tend to overthink things a bit, so I just spent about 20 minutes playing around with my design and didn’t question it.
For the iPhone cases, you can choose an extra-protective case with a rubber insert or a slim case. Even though the review was for a slim case, I chose to pay extra for the extra protection. I knew I wouldn’t use the case as much if I didn’t have that. For around $35, you can get a gorgeous, protective phone case with the design exactly how you want it.
The case itself is very high-quality. It’s a heavier plastic case with a rubber bumper inside. It makes a very tight fit over your phone and I found it easiest to put the rubber bumper on first and then slide the phone case on with one side first, then slide on the other side rather than trying to clip it in from the bottom to the top. The case I was previously using was just a clear $5 case from Walmart and I can tell already this is a much nicer case. We have a wireless charger here at home and I had no issues using it with this case.
