One of my favorite hymns is “It is Well, With My Soul”.  It was written by Horatio Spafford in 1873.  He had suffered the loss of his son and then suffered losses in the business world after the Chicago fires.  A short time later, while his wife and four daughters were traveling, their ship was hit by another vessel and the ship sank, with his four daughters dying.  His wife survived and as he traveled across the sea to bring her home, he wrote this song.  The Spafford’s eventually moved to Jerusalem and brought the love of Jesus Christ to many.  Every time I hear this song, I think of their story and his great trust in HIM.

I pray, today, that you feel in your soul, the love of Jesus and know that he is RISEN!

Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
